Antibody (serology) Testing clarification

ADDITIONAL
CLARIFICATION ABOUT
"BCL RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL v2.0"
Dear Colleagues,
Today, December 10th, we have received the following information from BCL office.
The so-called Antibody (serology) Test for Covid-19 is NOT mandatory for anyone. It has been offered as a solution for those persons that have recovered from Covid-19 to be exempted from PCR testing during a period extending from 6 to 8 weeks. The reason behind is that, in some cases, PCR test can still return a positive result regardless of the absence of symptoms or not being contagious to the people around.
This opportunity we have offered to be exempted from PCR testing must always follow the proper procedure according to the protocol.

Every game participant that wants to be exempted from PCR testing for a certain period has to provide BCL office with Antibody (serology) Test and the medical history of the infection and its rehabilitation process from a relevant doctor. BCL medical experts will proceed further with the evaluation of immunological status and, finally, will decide about the case on a one by one basis.
Two additional details must be noted carefully:
- Even if BCL gives an exemption from PCR testing for the games, every single country still imposes their own measures and requirements for travel and entering . Therefore, if one country requires a PCR test done within a specific time limit to enter, this measure is still of application.
- Unlike PCR test, Antibody (serology) Test, as not mandatory and not required by BCL, is not subject to expense reimbursement.
Thank you for your cooperation.
