New Season ahead

Dear Colleagues,
Here we go!
The start of the new BCL regular season is here, for many of us, this will be with very limited rest after our exciting summer of competition which included EuroBasket2022 and the Women's World Cup. The opportunity to officiate these high-level games, receive constructive guidance and support from our instructors should give us the highest level of readiness for our BCL competition; so, we can provide the level of customer service that we aspire to.
I know that as our top officials you will have self-reflected and analysed your games, often more critically than we have, and will have identified your personal strengths and areas for further development. Let's ensure we pay special attention to these development areas whilst not losing focus on the very good attributes you all have. You are all very good officials, let's not forget this very important fact.
Of course, most importantly, we must follow the OBR, OBRI, POE and protocols, these are our foundation stones that will help us increase the accuracy of our decisions - call and no-call.
As the Lead of Officials in FIBA Europe there are some elements that I will not compromise as I see these as essential for the integrity and transparency of the BCL Competition.T
TRUST - complete trust within crew/team. Proper teamwork with excellent, honest communication. Equal contribution within the game, game management is a whole team responsibility.
50-50 - fairness in every game. Everyone is treated with the same level of respect.
COMMUNICATION - clear communication with coaches and players is one of the pillars of our quality. Within the BCL family we have established clear communication protocols, we must continue to improve this.
To conclude my message, I want to say a few final words. Give your best in every game, with your correct and high-quality work we will protect the integrity of basketball, the BCL Competition and, most importantly, ourselves.
I wish ALL of us, a very successful BCL season 2022/2023.
Davorin
