Professional Conduct, Dress Code, and Representation of the FIBA Europe and BCL Competition

Dear Officials.
Every FIBA Official represents
FIBA Europe and the BCL Competition while traveling for the game or tournament,
or attending events, meetings, or activities connected to their duties.
Respectful behaviour, appropriate dress, and a professional attitude are
essential elements of maintaining the FIBA Europe and BCL image and reputation.
All FIBA officials are expected to:
- Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, clubs, National teams, National Federations, and members of the public.
- Although there is no official travel FIBA Europe uniform, officials are expected to dress appropriately and professionally when traveling, in a similar style as business professionals typically do. As each official carries a bag displaying the FIBA Europe or BCL logo, it is essential to maintain a high standard of appearance and behaviour that positively reflects the organization. The logo makes us visible and recognizable, and with that comes the responsibility to uphold FIBA Europe's and the BCL's image at all times. Please act responsibly during travel, ensuring that conduct, both in public and online, reflects the values and integrity of FIBA Europe and the BCL.
- Protect the FIBA Europe and BCL image and reputation by maintaining a high standard of behaviour, communication, and courtesy at all times.
- All FIBA officials are expected to avoid alcohol consumption during any duties or occasions connected to their nomination, ensuring full professionalism while representing FIBA Europe and the BCL.
- Avoid smoking in public areas or in any situation where it may negatively affect the FIBA Europe and BCL competition's professional image.
Each member of our officiating staff is not only a representative of FIBA Europe and BCL, but also a role model for the next generation of potential high-level officials. The professionalism, attitude, and example you set today directly shapes the culture and standards of tomorrow. The way we present ourselves, through our words, actions, and appearance, influences how others perceive FIBA Europe and the BCL competitions. By upholding these standards, we strengthen mutual respect, build trust, and reinforce FIBA Europe and the BCL's positive reputation everywhere we operate. Together, we are building a culture of excellence that inspires others to follow.
