TM EUROBASKET 2025 QUALIFIERS - Part 1

Dear all,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your proficient job during the November window of the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers round.

Your attitude and approach were professional, demonstrating great effort toward a successful round. Your desire to implement the topics from the PSC onto the court was visible.

In this edition of TM 07, focusing on the EB 2025 Qualifiers, November window, we highlight 6 topics, divided into two parts based on your performance and the volume of material.

Part 01 consists of 18 play situations with the following topics:

• Protect the shooter.
• Concept of RD.
• Protocols.

Part 02 covers the following topics, with a slightly smaller number of play situations:

• L2M officiating.
• Unsportsmanlike fouls.
• Cylinder play.

As you will see from our first six editions of the TM, we are addressing the following areas:

• The Concept of RD
• OBR/OBRI changes valid as of October 1st
• Topics from the BCL PSC for the 2024/25 season

Your performance in these areas should be at the highest level, without excuses.

We acknowledge your improvements regarding these topics. First, there are less unnecessary DWs. Crew discipline, regarding the C-C-C protocol has improved, though it is still not at the appropriate level for our competitions. Greater analysis shows it's not the officiating of the Primary defender but the officiating of the help defender where we are struggling with the most.

Additionally, we would like to emphasize that we are still seeing:

• QWs in PCE instead of PW
• QWs/PWs in EXCE instead of CW

We invite you to check the following play situations, take note of the points and apply them immediately. We must work together to implement our POEs. Our target is to achieve the highest level of officiating and to ensure that these points become part of our standard referee practices.
