WEEKLY LETTER R16 GD2

06.02.2024

Dear Referees and Video Observers.

Thank you all for your performances in the recent BCL games, L16, GD 02

WE MUST CONTINUE TO STAY FOCUSED, WITH THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF CONCENTRATION.

Last week, your delivery was on the expected and acceptable level, with the note that we had situations which we could avoid with better concentration. From my side, I will disagree with one VO's report; it is a trigger to go deeper into additional analysis of some situations. Let us see what the outcome will be.

Performance level, BCL L16, GD 02

The final information, I'll publish ASAP.

The overall feedback on BCL games, L16, GD 02, and recognitions by your Video Observers:

Points to keep/positive.

  • Overall good criteria – contacts and violations
  • Behaviour control
  • Good team's play coverage

Points for improvement

  • AOS consistency; FAOS vs. FNAOS.
  • Reduce DWs.
  • Calls where actions have no advantage/disadvantage.

(Contacts – marginal calls, violations – travel)

UF criteria

In 8 games, we had 7 UF decisions. Three of them are pointed out as incorrect calls by our Referee Instructors. Now, this becomes an area for analysis and improvement. We'll analyse all ICCM UFs from the beginning of the season, to detect what and why these are happening.

Dear All.

Within the next month we have several important competitions:

  • BCL L16 GD 03 & GD 04
  • Qualification tournaments for the Olympics (W)
  • QR for EBM2025
  • PRE-QR WC2027
  • Quarter-final games – ELW, ECW, FEC

This means there are plenty of opportunities where any of you can show your present quality or your potential for the upcoming next step up. Everything is connected with you, your preparation, both mentally and physically, your performances, and your evaluations and reflections. In our system, we need good Referees. Your job is very simple, be the best version of yourself in any nominated game.

I wish you great officiating in all mentioned games.
