MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Whilst the
performance in one game was destroyed in the final moments, I can honestly say
that your performances overall are very good and across the group I would like
to congratulate you all.
For the TREVISO team, I am sorry. The entire game they worked hard, the professionalism and grace they showed in defeat was exemplary, especially after our big mistake. In that moment everything we are working, teaching, and focusing on was destroyed by one incorrect no call. Rest assured it will be fine and we will learn from our mistake, but for Treviso this means nothing, they lost because of our mistake. In the game this was not the only bad play situation regarding the Referees' job. Another was this act of violence, again not recognized by our team. Our focus MUST be on fairness, quality, and positive competition. Dangerous and unsportsmanlike actions by players MUST be cleaned from our competition.
Of course, this can happen and will happen again, but we must question and analyze why? I have, and I am disappointed with my final evaluation as this is something I have stressed above everything else we teach, concentration and an understanding of the fundamentals.
GAME DAY 10
It's here,
the MOST important week, and every week moving forward becomes the most
important week, where we must expect the expected. We must expect the
challenging situations, the emotions, the live or die attitude of the players
and coaches as this is that time of the season. Due to 2 games being postponed
we have 14 games ahead of us, obviously we will keep you informed should anything
change but most importantly, we must be fully prepared.

What we need in week GD10
Readiness, good preparation, concentration, communication, cooperation, an active mindset, and a full understanding of what could happen. We need your top performances. We need you to show how you are good. In front of you is a great opportunity to show your quality, smartness, understanding and correct way of thinking.
For the
remaining BCL teams, also for us, this historical sentence is very true - COME
BACK WITH YOUR SHIELD - OR ON IT.

Dear Referees.
I am sure
that you don't need any additional input on the POE, you know what we are
expecting from you. Simply your best. As I have previously said, we need your
top performance, we need you to show your strengths, the reasons why you
deserve to be part of the top basketball competition. From my side, you have my
trust. Go, and just do it.
